All Of Our Heating Engineers Are Gas Safe Certified
Gas Safe Certification is, by far, the most important qualification that a heating engineer can have. It is proof that the engineer working on the heating system or other gas appliance in your home or business premises is registered with the Gas Safe Register.
The Gas Safe Register is a government scheme that ensures every gas engineer in the country is fully proficient in gas appliance installation procedure, and is capable of following safety regulations rigorously. This authority must certify all gas engineers before they are legally permitted to work on gas appliances.
You may be familiar with the CORGI Gas Register, the previous gas engineer registration body. The Gas Safe Register replaced CORGI in Great Britain and the Isle of Man on 1 April 2009, and then the following 1 April in Northern Ireland and Guernsey.
What does the Gas Safe Register do?
The Gas Safe Register aims to improve general gas safety in Britain, by ensuring that only people who are suitably skilled are permitted to work on gas appliances. While some gas appliances are fairly straightforward to install, safe installation is a different matter. Gas engineers must be well versed with safety procedure, and negligent installations can have catastrophic consequences. The Gas Safe Register carefully vets all of Britain’s 123,000 gas engineers in order to avoid the unfortunate consequences of unsafe installation and servicing.
It should go without saying that all of our Brighton plumbing, gas, and heating engineers are fully Gas Safe Registered. This is a matter we take extremely seriously, in common with every other ethical and legally compliant heating business.
Our Brighton heating engineers will be more than happy to show you their Gas Safe registration ID cards at any point in the process, and we will also provide a Gas Safety certificate upon the completion of all gas works.
